A very handsome coat pocket radio from Pye. The white plastic grille face has red grille cloth underneath, and this plastic continues across the face above and below a chrome or nickle plate framing the reverse-painted plastic red and gold tuning dial. The aqua-colored cabinet housing curves back on its top face from 1 7/16" in the center to 1 5/16" at the ends. A thin 3x20 mm "button" next to the tuning dial releases the back housing from the cabinet face for access to the battery and chassis.
The MW/LW band switch sits unmarked beneath the tuning dial. This area looks conspiciously blank, but apparently that's how they made 'em: a service manual cover for the Pye P170PQ sharing the same cabinet shows nothing there too -- see photo below.
There was also a leather cabinet version of this set, the P191BQ.
