1961 Telefunken Partner IV

Small portable / coat pocket radio, thermoplastic cabinet
6 15/16 x 3 5/8 x 1 3/4 inches / 176 x 92 x 44 mm
3-band LW/MW/SW radio, seven transistors (Telefunken, 3x AF105, OC602, OC604, 2x AC105), superheterodyne circuit
One tubular 9-volt battery
Manufactured by Telefunken Deutschland

A completely different radio from the three previous Partner models — besides its updated circuit, it's a bit larger in cabinet size, it offers three bands (LW/MW/SW) rather than one (MW), and it looks a whole lot more pleasing to the eye! The entire black-colored area on the face and curving around both corners is reverse-painted plastic, the grille is a white-painted metal, and the cabinet body itself is a beautiful pale gray. The vinyl handle has yellowed over time — I assume it originally was white or gray. Note that the short wave band (KW, "Kurzwelle") is marked in meters, unlike the MW and LW bands which are marked in MHz and kHz respectively. (Telefunken also made a MW/UKW (AM/FM) radio utilizing this cabinet, the "UKW Partner.")
