This is a Hitachi TH-621 OEM radio produced under the AMC brand — the example shown here was assembled around mid-1959, according to its electrolytics' date stamps, but it's unclear how early AMC first released this model. The transistors here are the same as found in the Hitachi TH-621, but the Hitachi's 1N34A glass diode has been replaced here with a 1N34A ceramic diode.

The AMC TR-600 has exactly the same cabinet, chassis and transistor complement as the gray Hitachi TH-621 shown here on another page. The AMC also seems to be the only Hitachi TH-621 that had a black cabinet, and as far as I know there were no AMC TR-600s made in any color other than black.
