Two large 4.5-volt batteries
Manufactured at Polius Radio Works, Voronezh, Russia

The first of many radio models named "Alpinist (Альпинист) that were produced up through the 1990s. The Russian word Альпинист also is often translated in English as "Climber" or "Mountaineer".
