From 1963, the Kyiv-7 is a rarely-found radio. It's a small coat pocket set, and ergonomics didn't seem to factor much in the design of this radio: the tiny tuning dial is deeply recessed into the cabinet with little to grab onto -- very hard to tune this. The on/off-volume knob is on the radio's right side, and the little lever sticking out of the bottom of the speaker grille is the LW/MW switch.
To me, this radio's cabinet design looks years earlier than its 1963 production date and much more "Soviet-looking" than many earlier Soviet sets. I love it.
