One of the more handsome American-made shirt pocket radios. The 61R39 has a black cabinet ("Jet Black"). The 61R35 is a mint green color ("Ice Blue"). The cabinet body tapers toward the bottom from 2 11/16 to 2 9/16 inches.

And as any transistor radio collector knows, you can always tell an Arvin's production/distribution date by its model number: the first two digits of the model number indicate the last two digits of the production/distribution year.
