I think this radio's face is in the worst cosmetic condition of any set I'm showing on this web site. But it's one of the 500E models offered in a cabinet with a white front half and red back half, not as common as other cabinet colors. And to be fair to this example, few 500E cabinet faces have survived in decent shape.
As with its predecessors, it has a nylon cabinet. The 500E has vernier tuning and a pointy convex speaker grille that I assume has something to do with its speaker's functionality, but this grille is truly ugly -- the speaker grilles on all previous 500s are beautiful and iconic.
