A very petite pocket radio with a beautiful butterscotch color reverse plastic tuning area that slopes inward to the tuning dial window. From the photos, the "6 TRANSISTOR" writing may look as if it's stamped on the face, but it's actually beneath the clear plastic. The thin back half of the cabinet is a bluish gray in color, a nice touch to the cabinet as a whole.
A Radiomuseum entry dates the AR-670 as "1962??". And the 670 appears in SAMS Photofacts TSM-37, which has a publication date of April, 1964 -- there was typically a one or two year lag between radio manufacture dates and SAMS TSM publication dates, so I'm guessing the 670 probably was released in 1963 or 1962.
