May have been released in late 1959. Small and slim, with a painted metal speaker grille.
On his Flickr page for the 6X-870, collector Michael Jack states that Mitsubishi didn't produce its own radios -- rather, they were made by another manufacturer for Mitsubishi, most likely Shirasuna Denki, and possibly other manufacturers as well.
