1960 Zenith Royal 50

Shirt pocket radio, thermoplastic cabinet
4 7/16 x 2 3/4 x 1 1/4 inches / 113 x 70 x 32 mm
Six transistors, two 1.5-volt AA cells
Manufactured by Zenith Radio Corp.; Chicago, Illinois

Zenith's first shirt pocket radio. In sharp contrast to its Japanese contemporaries that I love so much, it has an admirable "no nonsense" look to it. It also looks like its cabinet was designed in 1950 rather than 1960, another reason I find it so appealing.
