1962 Zenith Royal 125, chassis 6JT41Z1

Shirt pocket radio, thermoplastic cabinet
4 3/8 x 2 5/8 x 1 1/4 inches / 111 x 67 x 32 mm
Six transistors, two 1.5v AA cells
Manufactured by Zenith Radio Corp.; Chicago, Illinois

Maybe Zenith's finest shirt pocket radio, and the only one with vernier tuning. Its cabinet seems to have been a template for the Royal 60 and Royal 90, both produced a year later.

The entry on Gary's Radios for the Royal 125 says, "it was offered in three different color combinations: Beige and brown, solid charcoal, or try to find one in yellow with a white back." So I guess I got lucky and found one of those yellow & white versions. But the yellow is a very dull yellow, not from aging or oxidation -- that's just how Zenith chose its yellow to be.
